Newest thought to enter my mind: the Sweetheart Table!
For anyone unfamiliar with the term, the Sweetheart Table is basically a table set up at the reception that is for the bride and groom; and it’s either a love it or hate it kind of thing, as some people see it as weird, or unnecessary, while others prefer a ‘head table’ with either bridal party members/family.
If Eric and I do a specific table for the two of us, I’d personally opt for the Sweetheart table, and that’s because I wouldn’t want to separate the bridesmaids/groomsmen from their SO’s or invited guests, etc. And, I would prefer to avoid any kind of family drama with the second option of family because it’s a relatively small event anyway.

Of course, this all could be silly for me to think about, considering we’re not doing a plated dinner, so we might not be sitting much anyway, but to have a cute, decorated place for us seems to appeal to me.
