As I was perusing the lj weddingplans community today, I came across a post-wedding post by this amazing, creative girl that included AMAZING photos and tremendous inspiration, check it out, here.
One of the things she did to help include guests to feel connected, and to tie in her theme, was feature guests’ own wedding photos. Now, I don’t really have a million people on my tentative guest list, but how fun would it be to just have happy wedding pictures in general? Like, from popular culture: tv shows, movies…and that’s when it hit me…
ROMANTIC COMEDY!
How perfect of a theme is that? I am so excited…I plan on searching for ’wedding photos’ from romantic comedies, printing them out in sepia tones and looking for assorted vintage/vintage-inspired frames as table decorations/centerpieces. Of course, happy, just in-love pics are all invited, i.e. I’d love to incorporate a pic from Amelie, etc., where they don’t explicitly get married in the film, but you know…love.
Additionally, I’ve begun to put thought into our actual ceremony and how we want that to go. I have asked my good friend Tom to be our officiant, and he has graciously accepted, via phone, but I do want to get some time here soon to speak with him in person.
Lastly, the last wedding thought that is swimming around my brain is our upcoming appointment with Michelle @ the Harmony Golf Preserve. She’s a catering manager/event coordinator over there, and this is our first venue appointment. Eric and I will be attending, and I’m hoping to have as much organized as possible to make it an efficient and productive meeting. Eric said he has a good feeling about this venue, so I’m excited to see what happens.
Well I was blocked form the lj link but I think romantic comedy is the perfect theme for you… because you know, you’re romantic and comedic all wrapped into one ball of fun!
